And the blog gets a makeover!

Now that I'm 21, I figured the name "Teenage Wharf Rat" didn't really ring true anymore. So the blog has gotten a makeover! As I embark on another voyage around the world, I needed a little inspiration to continue writing my blog. As evident by my lack of posts for my second voyage- I only managed one...- I need to be more diligent about posting. This post will be the first of many to come in the next two months.

So as I started this blog 2 years (almost 3 yelp!) ago, here are some FAQs answered about my upcoming trip!

  What's the itinerary this time? This time, I'm excited to say I am sailing throughout the Mediterranean! Starting in Freeport, Bahamas on June 14th, I will sail across the Atlantic and dock in Spain, Italy, Greece, Croatia, Turkey, Morocco, and Portugal, returning to Cville the 19th of August.

  You're Family is going with you again?! Yep! My family is going with me again, and I couldn't be happier! It is a rare thing to be able to spend quality time with your parents and after they have given me so much, to be able to share new experiences and adventures with them is a blessing. I will be graduating from college next year and I don't want to miss the opportunity to learn many more great life lessons that they have to share with me on this last voyage.

  As a Commerce student, shouldn't you be taking an internship? Probably, haha. But I learn more from my independent travel experiences than I do any other time. I'm excited to be able to share my international experiences and connections with other cultures with future employers and hope they see the value in a global perspective just as I do.

 I can't wait to go and will be rooming with one of my great friends and fellow a cappella singers, Hope Stadulis, so make sure to follow our crazy adventures. I promise I will update the blog more diligently this time! But I also wanted to shout out to the people I will miss at home and say a formal apology in advance for the massive amounts of email, postcards, and pictures being sent their way (I'm looking at you Rachel Zalegowski, Jenna Maye, Fallon Farmer, Taylor Moose, of course my little Paige McDermott, and all the HITTAS! So many more I could list here, but that would take forever.) And especially to my wonderful boyfriend, Johnny Hartranft, who inevitably will be drug along on my next trip because he is the only one I've met who can keep up with if not exceed my sense of adventure :)
